From a press release sent out today, “The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences is pleased to announce the Nominees and Official Honorees for the 11th Annual Webby Awards. Nominees have been selected by The Academy from over 8,000 entries representing all 50 states and 60 countries worldwide.
Webby Winners and Webby People’s Voice Winners — announced on May 1, 2006 — will be chosen from the five Nominees in each category, announced today. Official Honorees, chosen for an outstanding caliber of work, make up fewer than 15% of the total entries. Congratulations to both Nominees and Official Honorees on a truly deserving accomplishment.”
